We're thankful for our great team at Skyway Title Services, LLC. Our owner and management team are grateful for the awesome crew we have as we work together and serve all of our great customers. Here's a little back story of how and when we started our business.
It was May 13, 2005, when Judy Thacker, as a licensed title agent opened the doors to her new title company (Skyway Title Services). Her 35 years of experience to date in the real estate title industry shows her dedication to assisting realtors and lenders in the process toward the closing date. The real estate market was booming at the time, and within two months of opening, Bill Thacker (Judy's Husband) retired from his real estate license and came to work with Judy. The company was flooded with real estate transactions from day one!
Shortly after opening the business, Judy's daughters, Melissa Kopplin and Angie Vanderwende joined the team. They both wanted to work with their mother and learn all the ins and outs of the title insurance industry. Melissa obtained her title license within the past year, and Angie’s experience continually grew working with difficult estate files, which has added an invaluable asset to the business. Both Melissa and Angie are such strong leading forces in the company because they guide the closing agents throughout the title industry along with their mother.
One thing for certain is the real estate market is always changing. In 2007 when the market experienced a big downturn, it did not stop Judy from her goal of serving the community and providing quality title services. During this period of time, Judy’s husband Bill left the business to open his custom cabinetry business. Melissa and Angie continued to work alongside their mother serving this great community.
It's been a few years since the real estate market downturn hit, but even in tough times, there are some businesses that manage to thrive, and Skyway Title Services, LLC has been one of them. We definitely consider that a blessing and are grateful to be here providing our title closing services.
We have experienced a lot of different things in the real estate market since we opened our doors in 2005, and thanks to the hard work and dedication of Judy, her daughters, and the highly experienced staff, Skyway Title Services, LLC is stronger than ever. We take pride in what we do here, to provide each of our customers with excellent customer service and premiere real estate title closing services.
